Background and Training for the Role of Assistant Internal Auditor:
With sixteen years of education, you can get an MBA, a BS in accounting and finance, or a Master of Commerce degree.
Earned a Master of Science degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution by HEC.
Experience: New Fresh
Preferred candidates will have relevant work experience in government.
No older than 40 years old
Functions of an Assistant in Internal Auditing:
- Manage and oversee the whole audit cycle, including controls and risk assessment, to ensure operations are effective, finances are reliable, and all regulations and directives are followed.
- Help with pre-audit of significant payments, let management know what the audit found, and then follow up on their answer to determine what else needs to be done, if anything.
- Help with the auditing of high-value projects that receive funding from both the government and private sources, as well as audits of the relevant divisions on a regular basis.
- Help keep an eye on management’s interventions by performing follow-up audits.
- Give a hand in directing team members towards their everyday responsibilities.
- Help out with internal control reviews by providing advice when asked to do so by management or the board.
- Anything else the Manager of Internal Audit deems significant.
- Daily meetings with various departments to discuss anomalies are something you can help with.
- Contribute to the pre-audit of significant payments, notify management of audit observations and conclusions as needed, and, if necessary, follow up with management to determine what additional action is required.
